Vodou Priestess Mama Lola

Mama Lola the Legendary Vodou Priestess in Brooklyn

Spotlight and Photo of legendary Vodou Priestess: Mama Lola. We adore her at Erzulie’s Voodoo, and this was taken after a Voodoo Fest ritual in New Orleans. We have so many amazing photos of rituals and ceremonies with her over years and will post more as we update website of those glorious Vodou rituals.

Mama Lola Vodou Priestess
Mama Lola on a beautiful spring day with everyone in the New Orleans Vodou family. May she rest in peace ~ 2020.

This photo was taken on a gorgeous spring day in April at Ms. Brandi’s brand new home! Myself, Hougan Lance, Mambo Brandi, Hougan Cetala, and Dr. Ina all went to celebrate such a wonderful achievement for Brandi and decided to spend all day lounging on her beautiful porch, sipping daiquiris and laughing with the legendary Mama Lola – who is simply lovely and ethereal!  She’s one of the most world-renowned and devoted Vodou priestesses often included in any resource on Vodou. Her endless time, patience and exceptional knowledge of the Haitian Vodou Tradition is incomparable and her concern and genuine friendship is an honor.

I title this shot “The Million Dollar Photo” as she looks like a Million Dollars sitting there with her drink in hand! We hope you can get a true feel of her energy and spirit in this photo as well.
