Natural beeswax soaps, honey soaps and handmade soaps! Erzulie’s is thrilled to provide you the finest handmade natural beeswax soap and honey soaps, exclusively handcrafted by our favorite Bee Charmer, a wonderful friend who runs a real Apiary (Bee Farm) here in Louisiana.
Beeswax and honey are renowned for their healing and nourishing properties for your skin and have been used for spiritual rituals since ancient times. We asked our favorite Bee Charmer how exactly she handcrafts these exquisite and emollient beeswax soaps for Erzulie’s and we are delighted she was willing to share such her secrets below:
“All of my natural beeswax and honey soaps start from the “Liquid Gold” extracted right from actual bee hives on my apiary (bee farm). The frames holding honey are shaved to take the end cappings off; the end cappings seal the honey in place on the comb. Once this is done, the cappings, along with a generous amount of honey, is put into a large solar melter. The melter is powered by the sun’s rays, and gently melts the wax and honey while infusing the two mixtures together in a warm, fragrant liquid to produce the beeswax and honey soaps.
This golden mixture, enriched with micro-nutrients, (vitamins for the skin) travels down into a block mold to cool and be stored for future use. When I take this mixture, I then carefully scent each batch by hand with beautiful fragrances and natural essences combined with soybean and coconut oils, to produce the finest and highly scent natural beeswax soaps possible.”
