New Orleans native Kristen Malone was raised in the center of the occult world since a young child and worked at the famed Mystic Curio most of her young adult life. Having studied numerous spiritual traditions she is very adept in all aspects of spiritual work. Exceptionally gifted as a psychic, she joined the Erzulie’s family when it first opened in February 2003 as a featured psychic reader and spiritual counselor and came in contact with the Lwa by learning about them and working with them at Erzulie’s. She was always a talented artist and had her own line of New Orleans dolls since 2002, after she graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Anthropology. Kristen believes the Lwa have touched her spiritually, and started crafting these Voodoo dolls on behalf of Erzulie’s and the specific Lwa that run the store. Kristin strongly feels she is called to serve them through the artistic creation of these Voodoo dolls.
Now residing in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Kristen frequently comes home to New Orleans to visit friends, perform guest psychic readings at Erzulie’s and participate in Vodou ceremonies. Her favorite things are her studio room in her home--where she has no less than nine altars--and her mom's cooking.
